Trellix Adds XDR Support for Amazon Security Products, Adopts Open-Source

The Trellix eXtended detection and response (XDR) solution now supports Amazon Security Lake and Amazon Web Services (AWS) Verified Access products, according to a prepared statement.
Trellix also has adopted the Open Cybersecurity Schema Framework (OCSF) for its Helix security operations platform.
A Closer Look at Trellix XDR
Trellix and Amazon Security Lake provide organizations with visibility into security across their AWS environments, the company said. Organizations can use Trellix XDR to understand and operationalize cloud security data and connect it with other hybrid data sources to identify cyber threats.
Meanwhile, Trellix and Verified Access enable organizations to secure access to corporate applications in AWS or on premises, the company stated. Trellix offers assistance with security investigations across these applications as well.
Furthermore, Trellix contributes to the open-source OCSF community as part of its mission to promote “interoperability and data normalization between security products,” the company indicated. It will continue to work with OCSF community members to explore ways to enhance security for global organizations.
Trellix Updates Its Partner Program, XDR Platform
Previously, Trellix in October 2022 unveiled upgrades to its partner program, including:
- Training curriculum for partners
- Access to sales tools and resources
- Playbooks and other professional services
Trellix will launch its new Xtend partner program in early 2023.
Along with updating its partner program, Trellix in October 2022 announced plans to add endpoint protection, network detection and response (NDR) and other security capabilities for partners. These capabilities could help Trellix extend its reach with MSSPs and MSPs.
Trellix offers XDR, security operations and other security solutions to more than 40,000 organizations. It has approximately 800 partners that use its XDR solution and continues to pursue cybersecurity partnerships.
